We will be running a noise synth building workshop on the 21st of January 2024
at New River Studios, London, N4 1DN

It's part of #Oooh_CircuitBent : an International Gathering of Circuit Benders, a festival on the 20th and 21st organised by Psychiceyeclix, #Oooh_Festival and SKRONK.

Participants can choose one of three projects to build at the workshop:

1. Light-controlled piezo contact mic noise synth
This is a 'paper circuit' without a PCB so it gives people a more direct experience of building a circuit. It's suitable for beginners as it doesn't have many parts and uses the paper circuit method - where the legs of the components are bent together and soldered directly. We supply all electronic components plus an assortment of hardware, screws, springs etc so that participants can build the circuit into an electroacoustic instrument using a base of their choice.

Price: £38 per person

2. the Fort Processor
A psychogeographic noise synth and distortion/effect unit, controlled by knobs, light and touch.
We provide a complete kit of parts including PCB. It's suitable for beginner/intermediate. More advanced people could modify/circuit bend it if they wish.

Price: £65 per person

3. the Chernobylizer
A psychogeographic noise synth controlled by knobs, touch and power-drain switch. We provide a complete kit of parts including PCB.  It's suitable for beginner/intermediate but has more components than the Fort Processor. More advanced people could modify/circuit bend it if they wish.

To hear the Chernobylizer:  https://youtu.be/RJmQmc_NITM
Price: £90 per person
All materials and equipment will be provided and participants may keep what they create/

No previous experience in electronics or music performance is necessary.

Suitable for anyone with an interest in experimental music and sound arts.

Isn'tses (Lisa McKendrick and Tim Drage) will host the workshop.

The workshop takes place on Sunday 21st Jan 2024, 3pm-6pm
at New River Studios, 199 Eade Rd, London N4 1DN
