London based duo Isn’tses have released Throwing a Shoe into a Black Hole, a raw and chaotic ten track album recorded in their own studio. They are the creators of multiple sound-art/noise synths, including the Chernobylizer, Dark Harvestator and most recently Mars Roveriser. For this album they are not using noise alone. Instead, a mix of complex beats, textures, unpredictable sounds and frenetic rhythms enter the
music, at times with melody and screamy vocals as they push the boundaries of electronic music. An intense mind-bending spacey journey of wild explosive emotion and sonic textures.

The album is “Kinda Like” a deep delve into the vision of the “Sol Receiver" looking through a tunnel with “One Eye” whilst doing a “Freekfall” into multi-dimensional space that was always around us, while authorities dare to shout “I Spit on Your Rave” and the freedom fighters endeavor to “Free the Party”. “I’m Not The” one to suggest you “Undo Fear Biases” as you hit the “Rave Button” it’s a “Do or Die” situation rectified only by Throwing a Shoe into a Black Hole.

From Noise you were born, and to Noise you will return.
REVIEWS
"Throwing A Shoe Into A Black Hole, Isn’tses are returning to the origins of industrial music. And what’s remarkable is that even now, it’s absolutely devastating. Complete sensory overload. A derangement of the senses." "There is certainly an abundance of heavy-duty pulsating electronic beats and whoops and cheers and yelps crop up with a certain frequency. But if this is to be considered in any way a ‘dance’ album, it’s in the context of late 70s and early 80s electronica – the warped groves and unsettling, detached vocals of Throbbing Gristle circa 20 Jazz Funk Greats, and Chris and Cosey’s Trance. The beats are industrial strength, but shudder and stutter, pulsing through fuzzed-out, distorted synth waves and an endless array of extraneous interjections. Demented shrieks and wailings rise though the thick atmosphere towards the end of the first track, ‘Sol Receiver’, and ‘I Spit on Your Rave’ only amplifies their commitment to melding propulsive beats and throbbing synths and melting them together with a sonic haze and disconcerting sense of psychopathy. - Aural Aggravation

"The ten tracks sound raw, untamed, and pleasantly chaotic, oscillating between rhythm noise, experimental electronics, and feverish sonic collisions. Exhausted vocals, sometimes teetering on the edge of screams, playful details, and a sultry yet urgent sound give the album its own unique dynamic." African Paper

"There’s a nice overall consistency of tone and texture to the collection of tracks. My fave track is “Free The Party”. It’s a nice centrepiece." - Hal McGee, Electronic Cottage

Quarantinoise - an album recorded during lockdown. Noise instruments, guitars, vocals, self-built synths, circuit bent circuits, it's all there. Oh and some screaming.

Tales from the control room is an album made nearly entirely of samples from the Chernobylizer which is a synth designed and developed by Isn'tses.

Punctum has a variety of textures, collected sounds, guitars, live recordings and vocals. Expect some mayhem.

One of the first releases by Isn'tses and still a favourite. Field recordings, noise sessions and experiments.
